We are professional college consultants, working face-to-face and virtually with students and their families in Milwaukee, southeastern Wisconsin, and from other states all across the US. Our focus is on the individual needs of the student and their family.
We begin by listening and gaining an understanding of your student’s talents, interests, aspirations and concerns. It’s often a process of self-discovery, where we make sure college choices align with your and your student’s dreams for the future. Once we have a good understanding of what your student wants, we’ll sift through the 4,000 some colleges and universities in the United States together to identify the ones that are right academically, financially and socially. We’ll then develop a customized plan that will pave the way for them to be accepted into those good fit colleges for success in college and beyond.

Robin Gullborg is the owner of Beyond College Consulting and an independent college consultant. Her goal is to help students take aim of their after-high-school path, navigate all their possibilities, solve the college admissions puzzle and guide them to the future they want. As a mother of three, she knows all too well that there’s no step-by-step, one-size-fits-all plan. Every year, every school, every student is different and unique. The application process is not only complex but constantly changing and increasingly competitive. But that’s where Robin can help.
Not only does she want to help your student put together the best admissions application possible, but she also wants to make sure your student is applying to the right schools, to colleges and universities that are a good fit for their academic success and personal growth. She will help them find schools where they are going to thrive so that they can succeed during and long after college.

With a newfound understanding of the admissions process, she provides personalized guidance tailored to each student’s unique strengths, interests, and goals. Her approach emphasizes self-discovery, strategic planning, and compelling storytelling, ensuring applications that stand out.
Her goal is to demystify the college admissions process, reduce stress, and empower students, especially student-athletes, to make informed decisions that shape their future. She believes in fostering a collaborative and supportive environment, where students feel confident and motivated to pursue their dreams, whether on the field, in the classroom, or beyond.

We work with a carefully curated team of professional college essay coaches. Their diverse backgrounds and experiences allow them to bring unique ideas and profound guidance to every stage of the personal statement and supplemental college essay writing process. Through one-on-one meetings and writing workshops, either in person or virtually, our college essay coaches bring ideas to life, help students find their voice and get their stories told clearly, persuasively and authentically.
From brainstorming topics to essay submission, our coaches provide continuous targeted feedback until each essay is truly exceptional, formatted correctly according to the requirements of each college and free of any distracting grammatical or typographical errors.
